One person was transported to a hospital Monday after a two-vehicle collision that occurred in Guthrie County.

According to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, at about 5:58 p.m. 30-year-old Curtis James Sporleder of Atlantic was driving a 2002 Ford Focus southbound on Justice Road near the intersection of 190th Road located northwest of Guthrie Center, when he ran a stop sign and struck the rear passenger side of a westbound 2015 Chevrolet Traverse driven by 59-year-old Tamela Linn Booth of Guthrie Center. Both vehicles then simultaneously spun clockwise. Sporleder’s vehicle came to a rest on the southwest corner of the intersection and Booth’s vehicle ended up in the southbound ditch west of the intersection.

A Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the scene and Panora Emergency Medical Services transported Sporleder to the Guthrie County Hospital for minor injuries. Booth refused to be transported to the hospital for possible injuries. Charges are pending completion of the investigation. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
