The Adair County Fair is a week away, and the Fair Board has been busy finishing many improvement projects to the fairgrounds.
Board President Scott Steele mentions one of their new enhancements, “We did finally get our new poultry and rabbit cages come in this winter and that was done by a donation from Rose Acres. Going on two years ago we couldn’t get them last year in time, so we finally got them this year they are all put together and look completely different. I think everybody in that building will be excited to utilize those.”
Steele adds this year the Board has added 12 new campground spots, and are nearing completion of their several year spanning electrical upgrade project. They’ve also rewired the hog barn, finished converting the entire grounds to LED lighting, and have put new metal siding on the main food stand. The Adair County Fair takes place from July 17-21 in Greenfield. Raccoon Valley Radio will be bringing you live updates and results everyday from the fair.
