The Dallas County Board of Supervisors convened Tuesday morning in regular session.
The meeting began with discussion on the service agreement with Wageworks for flex spending account benefits, though the Board tabled a decision so they can learn more about the contract. Next, the Supervisors approved the sixth pay application from Trinity Construction for the courthouse renovation project in the amount of $50,445.95. It was also mentioned that the Treasurer’s departments have moved into the new space on the first floor, though the Recorder’s Office has not. The contractor still has punch list items to complete, and there is around $30,000 still in the balance to be paid including the retainage.
The Board then discussed but took no action regarding an Emergency Management declaration policy, as well as staffing for the Emergency Operations Center during larger countywide incidents. They also tabled action on Department of Natural Resource permits for the new law enforcement center. The meeting concluded with a workshop on County facilities, focusing on the two newly-acquired properties located at 818 and 910 Court Street. No official action was taken during the meeting.
