The Guthrie Center City Council met in regular session Monday.
The meeting began with the Council approving the annual street finance report. Next, the Council acted to perform a preliminary title search on the Presha Exline property before potentially relinquishing the fees and claims against the property located at 806 North Street. Finally, the Council authorized MSA Professional Services, Inc. to begin the next phase of designs for a new bathhouse at the aquatic center, and they directed to contact Dorsey & Whitney LLP to serve as bond counsel for a general obligation bond vote. The bathhouse project is currently estimated to cost $700,000, excluding costs such as demolition of the current building and furnishings.
