Last week the ADM Tigers Football team hosted a youth camp at the ADM High School. The Tigers had a tremendous turnout for the youth camp, with 121 kids showing up to participate in various drills and games. For a youth level event this is an outstanding number, and considering the latest trends of less participation for football across the state of Iowa this is an encouraging number for the ADM future.

The state of Iowa has had a 10 year decline in both football participation and schools offering the sport. From the 2008 to 2017 seasons  there was a 13% decline in participants and 36 fewer schools having football programs.

Having great youth football programs is key for every high school football program because the more repetitions a player has, the better they will become. For ADM, if they can continue to get great turnouts like this for football, the brighter the future this team has.
