It’s not just classes that will be starting Friday at Perry High School. The Perry Booster Club will also be launching the fall sports season that day with the annual Fall Kickoff event.
The festivities will start at 4:15 p.m. with the volleyball team’s “Blue-White Scrimmage.” Following that will be the cookout and membership drive at Dewey Field. At 5:20, the fall sports coaches will introduce their players and give the Bluejay and Jayette fans a preview of their seasons. The cheer squad will perform at 6 p.m., followed by a preview of the marching band’s field show for the year. The event will conclude with the “Blue-White Scrimmage” for the football team. Entrance to the event only costs a donation of a sports drink, which will be used by each of the teams throughout their seasons.
The Raccoon Valley Radio Big Red Radio will once again be at the Perry Fall Sports Kickoff, providing music and public address services for the festivities. Raccoon Valley Radio’s Shawn Kenney will also be the emcee for the event.
