
The latest U.S. Drought Monitor report shows little change in the Raccoon Valley Radio-listening area.
The weekly report released Thursday shows no change for Guthrie County, with the majority rated as abnormally dry. Dallas County shows a slight change with the southwest edge and northeast corner as abnormally dry. Drought conditions have worsened in Greene County, with the northeast half as abnormally dry and the very northeast edge as having moderate drought. The estimated number of people in drought areas has nearly doubled from 393,212 last week to 613,673 this week.
