Panorama made the short trip to West Central Valley for their second competition of the year.
Last year the girls team dominated as a team with a first place finish and took the top three places individually. It was business as usual for Ella Waddle who took first place with a time of 20:18. The team did not find the same success as last season. Nodaway Valley was able to dethrone the fifth ranked panthers narrowly taking first place by two points.
Head Coach Greg Thompson says he saw a sizeable jump from the boys team from their debut in Ames last week. The top runner for the boys was Emry Colby who finished with a time of 21:42.
The Panthers will compete next at Greene County next Thursday.
