A reminder, there are two Democratic candidates for President of the United States who will be visiting locations in the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area today.

First, California businessman Andrew Yang will be hosting a town hall from 12:30-2 p.m. at Big Al’s BBQ in Adel. This will be Yang’s second trip to Dallas County since declaring his intention to seek the Democratic nomination for President, as he also attended the Dallas County Democratic Party annual fundraiser in April. Later in the afternoon, Julián Castro – the former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under President Barack Obama, as well as former Mayor of San Antonio, Texas – will make three total stops in both Greene and Dallas counties. After a private event in Rippey, he will host a meet and greet at the Milwaukee Depot in Jefferson at 3 p.m. He will then head to Hotel Pattee in Perry for a meet and greet at 7 p.m.

The town hall and meet and greets are each free to attend and open to the public, and no registration is required. Yang and Castro are two of the 19 Democrats still in the running for the Presidential nomination in the 2020 primary election.
