The Adel Public Library is wrapping up the month of September with three free events for people of all ages.
First, there will be a program on “The Art of Tarot,” which will be held this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The activity will be hosted by Jamie Woodson of Enchanted Mystical Boutique of Des Moines, and is appropriate for both children and adults. The following day at 2:30 p.m., the library invites people to an event in the Story Room that they’re calling “Beads of Fun.” Attendees can string together a necklace, bracelet, or anything else, and all materials will be provided at no cost.
Finally, from Thursday through Saturday, the Friends of the Adel Public Library Foundation will be hosting a garage sale. Prior to the event, the public is asked to consider donating any gently used items, excluding clothes, shoes, computers, or exercise equipment, for the sale. The event will be held in the library’s conference room, and all proceeds will go towards the Friends Foundation and their mission to enhance the library and support reading and literacy.
