AC/GC will welcome area schools to Guthrie Center for a cross country meet.

The Charger cross country squad should be well rested as their competition last week at Panorama was cancelled. AC/GC will welcome in Bedford, Cam, Collins-Maxwell, Coon Rapids Bayard, East Union, Lenox, Logan-Magnolia, Martensdale-St Marys, Mount Ayr, and Perry for the race.

AC/GC senior Kate Crawford is expected to set the pace for the girls team. In the latest set of individual IowRunJumpThrow.com rankings, Crawford worked her way into the top three coming in at #3 in Class 2A. Junior Rylee Sloss also comes in ranked for AC/GC who is currently ranked #26 in the state. As a team, the Charger’s girls team is currently resting at #8 in the state.

The race will get started in Guthrie Center later today at 5 p.m.
