There is a potential for some flash flooding to occur in the next few days for the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area.

According to the National Weather Service, a flash flood watch will be in effect for Greene, Dallas and Guthrie counties from 10pm tonight through Wednesday morning. While there is a marginal to slight risk for parts of all three counties for tonight, the risk potential increases for flash flooding to a moderate chance tomorrow.

The National Weather Service has Greene, Dallas and Guthrie counties under a marginal risk for severe weather tonight. However, officials expect moderate rainfall with 1-3-inches possible. During a flash flood, water may move quickly to cover roadways for a short period of time. Remember to turn around, don’t drown if you see water over the roadway.

The one to count on for severe weather coverage is the Raccoon Valley Radio Network.
