A Coon Rapids man was recently sentenced to serve jail time after violating his probation in Guthrie County.

According to court documents, 29-year-old Trask Allen Anderson was arrested on August 12th on a probation violation warrant for an original conviction of possession of a weapon in a correctional institution, a class C felony. He was initially in custody on May 27th at the Guthrie County Jail for operating while under the influence first offense. Anderson was found in contempt of court on August 28th and was ordered to serve 22 days in the Guthrie County Jail with credit for any days served starting on August 10th. As a condition of his probation, Anderson must file with the Court a substance abuse evaluation and mental health evaluation.

He was also ordered this week to pay $1,320 to the Sheriff’s Office for room and board fees. Anderson was found guilty of probation violation after his probation officer claimed he did not follow the original court’s order regarding probation intake, attending substance abuse treatment, paying fines and a supervision fee, and obtaining a mental health evaluation. Law enforcement also claimed that Anderson continued to associate with drug users in illegal activities.
