The Iowa High School Athletic Association released its third Ratings Percentage Index (RPI) for the 2019 season on Monday and Greene County stayed sixth in Class 2A. The final RPI and playoff pairings will be released very late Friday night or early Saturday morning. There will be 16 playoff qualifiers in each of the six classes of Iowa High School football.

Greene County will likely move up at least one notch in the final RPI if it wins in Ida Grove on Friday night vs. OAGBIC. Both teams are 8-0 overall and 4-0 in District 9. The Falcons are fourth in the RPI. Both teams are top five ranked in 2A and Friday’s winner will host a first round playoff game while the losing team may be on the road for the first round, depending on the RPI ranking.

KG98 will broadcast and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com will “live” stream the action Oct. 25 from Ida Grove. Coverage begins at 6 p,m. with coverage at 7 p.m.
