The Greene County Board of Supervisors met Monday in regular session.
During open forum, County Engineer Wade Weiss gave an update. He asked the Board if he could sell a Secondary Roads Department dump truck to Hamilton County for $40,000. The truck has 280,000 miles on it and Weiss noted they have done this kind of sale before. The Board agreed with the sell.
The Board then approved a resolution to distribute the preliminary official statement for $5,115,000 of general obligation urban renewal capital loan notes. Up to $5 million will be used for the career academy project with the Greene County School District and the remaining amount is for other fees that the Board will need to pay.
The next steps are to get a bond rating from S&P 500, then sell the bonds to banks, with November 4th being the date that the Board will consider approving a contract for the bonds.
