For the first time in program history, Greene County will send its girls’ cross-country team to one location for State Qualifying, while the boys go to a different location. All State Qualifying meets in Iowa are tomorrow. The top three teams and top 15 individuals in each race qualify for the Nov. 2 State Meet north of Ft. Dodge at Kennedy Park.

The Greene County boys will run in a Class 3A meet in Atlantic while the girls run in a 2A race near Panora at the Lake Panorama Par 3 Golf Course. Paton-Churdan shares cross-country with Greene County and the P-C enrollment is counted for boys’ classification because two students from there run for the Rams. No P-C girls run for Greene County, so the enrollment doesn’t change, and the Rams stay in 2A.

Head Coach Jeff Lamoureux said he will be going with the boys while assistant coach Lindsey Duncan will travel with the girls.
