
The AC/GC girls cross country team will be heading to the state championships.
The Chargers won first place at Thursday’s state qualifying meet in a very crowded field. AC/GC was led by Kate Crawford who took first place individually with a time of 19:47. Along with Crawford, Rylee Sloss, and Kiersten Knobbe finished in the top-15, thus punching their ticket to the state meet. Sloss finished in 20:44, which was good for a fourth-place finish. Knobbe finished two spots behind her finishing in 21:16. The Charger’s 61 team points earned first place, 31 ahead of runner-up Emmetsburg.
