Whether inspired by television shows like “CSI” or movies like “Detective Pikachu,” Dallas County ISU Extension and Outreach invites kids interested in forensics to a special program tomorrow.
The “Junior Detective Workshop” will be held from 9 a.m. – noon at the Dallas County Fairgrounds, and kids in 4th-6th grade will get the chance to investigate a case using Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) skills. The activity has a Halloween theme, with participants attempting to solve “The Case of the Missing Scarecrow.” Attendees will take part in an assortment of STEM-related activities, including fingerprinting, decoding, and photography, and will also work as a team to solve the mystery.
The cost to participate is $5, which includes all materials needed for the workshop, and registration is required. To sign up for the “Junior Detective Workshop,” click the first link below. For more information on this and other upcoming Dallas County Extension programs, click the second link.
