Several Guthrie County band and vocal students are vying for the highest honor they can achieve in their high school career, auditioning for the 2019 All-State Music Festival.

Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center and Panorama students are auditioning in Atlantic today. West Central Valley did not send any students this year. For the All-State Band, ACGC students Olivia Van Meter is auditioning for flute and Sydney Noland is auditioning for trumpet. Panorama students Shekynah Haworth is auditioning for flute, Lauren Soll for bari sax, and Ruby Hummel for clarinet. For the All-State Chorus, ACGC sopranos Peyton Emgarten and Sophia Rouse, altos Wendy Soto and Audrey Stowe, tenor Tommy Bates, and bass Kael Grasty are auditioning. Panorama soprano Samantha Mortensen is also auditioning. The All-State Music Festival will take place November 21-23 at Hilton Coliseum in Ames.
