A local hunting and conservation organization is having its annual fundraiser banquet this Saturday.

The Greene County Pheasants Forever Banquet will be held at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds in Jefferson. Doors will open at 5:30pm, with a meal served by Lidderdale Country Store at 7pm and an auction will follow. Pheasants Forever President Kevin Devilbliss says there are several raffle prize opportunities as well, starting with two pre-banquet raffles.

“What we call a ‘Banner Raffle.’ It’s a banner of 30-35 prizes, each prize is valued at $500 or more. The winner gets (to) pick off the banner and then we order it for them. We’re also giving away a Pheasants Forever logo Sig Sauer 9mm pistol.”

Both raffle tickets cost $10. There are also two early-bird raffle packages. One prize is valued at $85 for two chances on three guns, and the tickets for that is $50 per ticket. The other prize is valued at $200 for six chances on three guns for $100 per ticket. Devilbliss adds, there will be several silent and live auction items for people to bid on.

Tickets for the banquet are $45 each, which includes a Pheasants Forever membership. Spouse tickets and those children 15 and under are $12 each. All proceeds will go back to the local chapter for wildlife projects. Contact Devilbliss at 515-386-3762 to purchase tickets.
