Guthrie County and surrounding veterans will be honored at several events this Veterans Day.

At 7:45 a.m. Monday, Guthrie Center Elementary invites all veterans and their spouses to a free breakfast until 8:15 a.m., followed by a Veterans Day salute program in the gym at 8:30 a.m. Adair-Casey Elementary will be offering a free breakfast to veterans and spouses at 8 a.m., followed by a short program in the junior high gym at 8:40 a.m. Later that morning the Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center High School Student Council invites all veterans, their families, and the community to a Veterans Day program at 10 a.m. in the high school gym.

The Panorama High School Student Council invites veterans, their families, and the community to join them for a program at 8:20 a.m. Monday in the high school auditorium. State House District 20 Representative and “Freedom Rock” painter Ray Sorensen will be the guest speaker.

The West Central Valley School District will host several public events, starting at 9 a.m. for the high school students in Stuart. At 1:30 p.m. the kindergarten through fifth grade students will have a program at the high school, and at 2:30 p.m. will be a program at the middle school in Redfield.
