The requirements for receiving this are not easy to attain. Requirements include that you must be a senior, have a 3.8 or higher cumulative grade point average, a cumulative score of 28 or higher on the ACT, and A State Coed Meet qualifier or finish in the top thirty(30) at a State Qualifying Meet during the year of application.

Emily Hlas was able to reach all of these requirements, and was one of only forty athletes from the entire state of Iowa in girls cross-country to be recognized. Hlas has had an excellent career both on the field and in the classroom, and got recognized with a great achievement.
