State House District 20 Representative Ray Sorensen (R) was recently named chairman of the Economic Development Appropriations Subcommittee.

He was named to the subcommittee by House Speaker-Select Pat Grassley, (R) stating, “Rep. Sorensen understands the importance of smart economic development in all corners of our state, both urban and rural. He is a rising leader in our caucus and will ensure that Iowans’ tax dollars are spent in a thoughtful and responsible way.”

The 2020 state legislative session convenes on January 13th, marking Sorensen’s second year serving as representative for the district which covers Guthrie, Adair, and portions of Dallas and Cass counties.
