A head-on collision in Greene County Wednesday night results in injuries.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, the crash happened at 3:14pm at the intersection of 185th Street and V Avenue. The State Patrol’s crash report shows 18-year-old Connor Gunn was heading north on V Avenue in a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado and 33-year-old Wade Sohm of Grand Junction was heading south on V Avenue in a 2016 Mack 600 CXU. The two vehicles collided head-on near 185th Street. The State Patrol believes dust from the gravel road to be a contributing factor in the crash.

Both drivers were injured. Sohm was taken by Greene County Ambulance to the Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson, while Gunn was taken by air ambulance to Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. The report also shows that Gunn was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and Sohm wasn’t wearing one. The extent of the injuries is unknown at this time.
