
Tuesday night, the Dallas Center-Grimes Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball teams on the road in Huxley to face the Ballard Bombers. DC-G left Huxley with a split for the night.
Adam Jones’ DC-G Girls’ Basketball team dropped its contest with Ballard, 51-24. DC-G had a rough night offensively, posting just 6 points in the first half, and just 13 on the board after three quarters of play.
However, the DC-G Boys’ left with a sound road victory at Ballard. The Mustangs won by a 16 point margin, 59-43. DC-G was lead by Luke Rankin with 18 points. Rankin had another all-around impressive night. Rankin drew in 5 rebounds, dished out 6 dimes, and stole the ball 8 times for DC-G. The Mustangs had two others in double figures. Cole Glasgow put up 15, and Center, Alex Thomas added 10.
The Mustangs are now 5-0 on the young season.
DC-G is back on the court on Friday in Grinnell in a Boy/Girl doubleheader.
