After five weeks and over 130 hours of Caring Christmas Food Drives, on Friday morning Raccoon Valley Radio announced the grand prize winner of the $1,000 Christmas Cash Giveaway.

Adel resident Leann Reiste registered for the contest at Farm Bureau Financial Agent John Harada’s office in her hometown. She was chosen from amongst the 343 qualifiers, which included those who registered at live Caring Christmas Food Drive stops, in registration boxes around the listening area, from client entries, and those who took part in the Caring Christmas Cash Calls. There were over 37 food drive stops with the Big Red Radio and Little Big Red Radio during the promotion, in addition to local drop boxes at participating businesses, and countless food and other items were donated this holiday season. Everything collected was donated directly to the food pantries in the area.

Raccoon Valley Radio General Manager John McGee thanked all the businesses, listeners, community members, and station employees for making Caring Christmas possible this year, and congratulated Reiste on winning the grand prize.
