It’s break time for the wrestlers and coaches at Greene County High School. Practice resumes on Monday, Dec. 30 with the first competition on Tuesday, Jan. 7 at Woodward-Granger.

Coach Zach Beekman’s Rams are 10-3 in dual meets and they have three dual meets on Jan. 7 and three more on Jan. 9 in Jefferson. Senior Braden Gallagher talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about what he saw in December. “We’re strong as a team. I feel like we’re getting a lot done. We’ve put the time in during the workouts our coach has given us. Something we all can work on is staying in good position the whole match, and being able to go the whole six minutes without getting tired.”

Once the January portion of the schedule begins, there will be just one month until the start of the postseason, which for Greene County is a Class 2A Sectional tournament in Adel hosted at ADM High School.
