
The AC/GC basketball teams were able to bring out the brooms on their road trip to Interstate 35.
The girl’s team got the night started and were looking for their fifth win in six games. AC/GC was able to flex their defensive muscles early on, only allowing the Roadrunners to score five points in the first quarter. AC/GC rolled to a 50-33 victory to improve to 6-3 on the season. Scoring wise, they were led by Kylie Young with 15 points.
The boy’s team then took the court to bounce back from a one-point defeat Monday night. The Chargers trailed by one after the first quarter 16-15. They found their rhythm in the second and took a 34-28 lead into the halftime break. Once they took the lead, they never looked back and ran away with a 63-47 win. The Chargers had three players reach double figures including Quynton Younker who led the way with 17. Eli Kading wasn’t far behind with 14 and Lucas Marsh finished the night with 10.
