The Dallas County Board of Supervisors convened Tuesday morning in regular session.

The meeting started with open forum, where Treasurer Mitch Hambleton mentioned that the Department of Transportation driver’s license station will officially move to Waukee on January 21st. The last day the station will be in Adel is January 17th. The first action item was the approval of the 23rd pay application for the law enforcement center project, in the amount of $256,978.45. The Samuels Group President Sid Samuels then gave the Board an update on the progress of construction.

Next, the Supervisors approved a right-of-way easement purchase on Grandview Road west of Perry, for $9,570. They also approved $42,983.96 for the purchase of a power load system and cot for the Emergency Medical Services Department. Finally, the Board approved the appointment of Director of Planning and Development Murray McConnell as the County’s representative on the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) technical committee, and County Engineer Al Miller as the alternate. The meeting concluded with budget workshops.
