The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors looked over the latest draft of a proposed all-terrain and utility vehicle ordinance Tuesday.
County Attorney Brenna Bird pointed out that the draft contains a requirement for rearview mirrors. She also reminded those in attendance that this ordinance only pertains to county roads, and not state roads where ATV/UTV use is illegal. The Board will have an agenda item at next week’s meeting to approve scheduling a public hearing for the first reading of the ordinance. The Board then approved a courthouse grounds policy presented by Facilities Manager Brandon Thompson. He pointed out some of the rules dictate no overnight parking, and no smoking in the courthouse or on courthouse grounds. Finally, the Board approved a memorandum of understanding with Union County Environmental Health, for Guthrie County Environmental Health to provide services as needed.
