The Greene County Board of Supervisors met Thursday.
Following comments from County Attorney Thomas Laehn and Sheriff Jack Williams, the Board approved the second reading of the dangerous and vicious animal ordinance. The changes that the Board wants to make to the proposed ordinance ahead of the third and final reading is to eliminate the dangerous animal part.
Laehn then reviewed the courthouse security enhancement recommendations from the courthouse security committee. He said the top priority was installing bullet-proof glass in the county attorney and the clerk of court’s offices, installing key card locks to the three exterior doors of the courthouse and installing security cameras throughout the building. The Board will consider approving the bullet-proof glass recommendation at their next regular meeting.
Additionally, Laehn presented his 2021 fiscal year budget, followed by the budget proposal for the ambulance department. The Board took no action following the proposals.
