The Perry Parks and Recreation Department recently purchased some upgraded equipment for the McCreary Community Building, which they feel will increase safety for pool users.

With help in the form of $1,000 awarded by the Bock Family Foundation during the fall grant cycle, the McCreary Center has purchased a full compliment of top-of-the-line life jackets. This replaces the smaller stock of outdated and worn flotation devices the rec center staff had been using. In addition to the jackets, they were also able to purchase a new first aid training kit and backboard, which Assistant Parks and Rec Director Becky Halling said improves the overall safety of their facilities.

Halling expressed her gratitude for the Bock Foundation for their continued support over the years.
