A reminder: Democratic Presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders will be paying a visit to Perry this evening.
The U.S. Senator from Vermont will hold a town hall meet and greet at La Poste, with doors opening at 5 p.m. and Sanders to take the stage at 6. This is the Senator’s second trip to Perry during his campaign for President of the United States, as he previously held an event last May at the McCreary Community Building. Much like the other 14 Democratic candidates, Sanders is ramping up his presence in the state ahead of the February 3rd Iowa Caucuses, hoping to vault to the top of the field. He is the sixth candidate to visit Perry since the start of December, each of which has drawn big crowds. He’s also the first of two to visit this weekend, with Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar stopping in Perry Sunday afternoon.
There is no cost to attend the town hall, though space is limited so registration is recommended. Click the link below to visit the online registration page.
