Friday, January 10th

1:51am: Nathan Hubbs requested an officer at 806 West Washington Street for an argument between he and his brother. The officer mediated the issues for the evening.

7:59am: Brooke Taylor reported a parking issue in the 700 Block of South Oak Street.

9:00am: Dennis Smith reported receiving the Social Security Scam phone call. He provided no information and did not incur a loss.

9:31am: A Traffic Stop at Elm and 220 th Street resulted in Thomas Scheffers of Jefferson being cited for, “fail to Obey Stop Sign.”

10:30am: James Wells spoke to an officer wanting his tenants evicted from his rental property at 406 West Head Street. The officer informed Wells this has to be done through the civil courts and the Sheriff’s Office.

10:55am: Mike Miller requested a Welfare Check on a male family member in Jefferson. The subject returned home on his own later and officers spoke with him. He was not in need of assistance and appeared to be fine.

3:55pm: Eric Chrystal reported a known male had cashed numerous checks on his account fraudulently at a bank in Clive. The checks total $4211.00. The officer is investigating.

4:00pm: A Traffic Stop at 1207 North Elm Street resulted in the arrest of Marlene Eleanor Anderson, 50,of Jefferson for, “Driving While Revoked – Serious.” She was also cited for, “Fail to Use a Child Restraint Device.”

4:53pm: An officer filled out a One vehicle Property Damage Accident report at 617 South Wilson Ave. A 2019 Dodge Caravan, owned by Genesis Development and operated by Monica Dillavou of Grand Junction, backed into a garbage dumpster on private property at the listed address. The rear window was broken out of the van from the impact with the dumpster. The officer estimated the damages at $1000.00.

6:16pm: A caller advised of a Revoked Driver near Fareway in the 1200 Block of North Elm Street. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.

Saturday, January 11th

3:30am: An officer issued a Parking Violation Notice in the 300 Block of West Reed Street for, “Parked Between the Lot Line and Curb Line.”

4:30am: Kyle Rysavy requested officers at 708 West Harrison Street, for unwanted subjects at his door. The officer made contact with a father, who was looking for his juvenile daughter at the residence. The female left with her father.

11:30am: A Traffic Stop in the 1900 Block of North Mulberry Street resulted in Lex Venteicher of Lohrville being cited for, “No Certificate of Title upon Sale and Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.”

5:01pm: An officer was requested at 307 North Olive Street for a Civil Property Issue occurring there. The officer stood by and mediated so the female could retrieve items for her children.

7:07pm: Bill McPherson requested a Welfare Check on a female at 209 East Gallop Road. The officer made contact with the female and determined she was not in need of immediate assistance.

Sunday, January 12th

11:09am: Lois Brant advised of a stray dog in the 800 Block of West Lincoln Way Street. The officer located the animal in the owner’s yard and spoke to him about the complaint.

1:24pm: James Wells spoke to an officer concerning a Civil Issue occurring at 406 West Head Street.

5:40pm: Faye Mason spoke with an officer concerning the Civil Issues occurring at 406 West Head Street.

6:49pm: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 204 West Harrison Street. The officer located an employee who had accidentally tripped the alarm.

7:30pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 1000 Block of West Washington Street.

7:45pm: Chad Ferguson spoke to an officer concerning a Civil Issue occurring at 406 West Head Street.

9:32pm: An officer spotted a wanted subject pumping fuel at 606 Hwy. 30 East and arrested him. Alexander Ruben Basurto, was arrested on the outstanding Jefferson Police Department Arrest Warrant for, “Providing Officer False Information on Traffic Stop – Simple.”

11:27pm: An officer responded to 200 American Ave. for an Alarm Activation. All was fine at the facility.
