Greene County’s wrestling team is packing a lot into this week, the last week of the regular season. Coach Zach Beekman’s squad hosts ADM and Colfax-Mingo tomorrow night in the middle school gym in Jefferson tomorrow night in a double-dual put together late last week. Thursday night means a trip to Huxley to face Ballard, Humboldt, and Perry, to end the regular season. The Rams are 20-4 in dual meets. The regular season ends on Saturday, Feb. 1 in Guthrie Center at the ACGC Charger Invitational. The postseason starts Feb. 8 at Adel for 2A Sectional wrestling.

Freshman McKinley Robbins at 106 lbs. and junior Sawyer Schiltz at 220 lbs. won Heart of Iowa Activities Conference titles on Friday night at South Hamilton High School in Jewell. Sophomore Brenner Gallagher (113 lbs.) and junior Brady Stauffer (138) both were runners-up. Greene County placed fourth as a team with just nine entries due to injuries and other factors.
