The Dallas Center-Grimes Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball team will return to their home court tonight to host Little Hawkeye Conference foe, Grinnell.

Adam Jones’ and his girls squad will look to avenge an earlier season loss at Grinnell, when the Fillies fell on the road, 73-62.  DC-G has been streaky, at times, this season.  With just a couple weeks remaining in the regular season, DC-G will aim for more consistency as Regional postseason play will begin in mid-February.  The DC-G Girls’ have a record of 10-5 on the season, following a win at Oskaloosa on Tuesday.

For the Boys’, they continue to build their resume with three weeks left before postseason play begins.  Joel Rankin’s team has been a surprise to many in the Little Hawkeye Conference.  DC-G was just 8-14 a year ago, but a commitment on the offensive end to get high percentage shot attempts has yielded a more efficient Mustang offensive attack, as DC-G sits at 9-5 heading into tonight’s game.

In the December meeting between the DC-G Boys’ and Grinnell, the Mustangs left the gym with an 11 point victory, 60-49.

Tonight’s games in Grimes are set to begin at 6:00pm with Varsity Girls’ action, with the Boys’ game to follow.
