The road to the state basketball tournament has been revealed.

For both the boys and girls teams of Guthrie County, they’ll have to top one another to advance. The third-region in Class 2A will begin with a rubber match between AC/GC and West Central Valley in Stuart. The Chargers came out on top in their first matchup 54-44, with West Central Valley getting revenge 62-49 earlier this month. The winner will take on 13th ranked Panorama in Panora. The Panthers have not lost to any team from Guthrie County since 2009.

The boys postseason looks very similar. The Wildcat boys team will make the quick trip to Guthrie Center to take on the Chargers. AC/GC is 2-0 against West Central Valley this year. The winner of this matchup will head to Panora to take on Panorama, who is 3-0 against Guthrie County teams this year.

The girls tournament starts Saturday, February 15th at 5 p.m. at West Central Valley. The boys will tip-off Monday, February 17th at AC/GC High School.
