
There are a couple of programs coming up through the Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department.
“Indoor Youth Soccer” will be held on Mondays from February 17th-March 9th for 3rd-6th graders at the Greene County Community Center. Participants will learn about the fundamentals of the sport and improve their overall skill. The program will run from 5:30-6:10pm for 3rd and 4th graders and 6:15-7:15pm for 5th and 6th graders. Chad Black and Chad Schwander will lead the programs. Cost to participate is $15 for community center members and $20 for non-members. Deadline to register is February 14th.
“Art in the Afternoon” will take place Wednesdays from February 19th-March 11th. Jolene Peters will instruct 1st-5th graders on creating fun pieces of artwork with paints, inks, and stencils on wood and canvas materials. The program will be held from 2-3:30pm at the community center. Limited spots are available and the cost to participate is $60 for members and $70 for non-members.
