The President’s Day holiday is coming up on Monday, and with that there will be several offices and businesses that will be closed in Jefferson. 

The Greene County Courthouse, Greene County Extension office, Jefferson City Hall, Jefferson Public Library and the Jefferson Post Office will be closed in observance of the holiday. Library patrons are reminded that nothing is due to the when it is closed for a holiday. Additionally, Jefferson residents are reminded that garbage routes will be delayed by one day. Monday’s routes will be picked up on Tuesday. Tuesday’s garbage will be done on Wednesday. Wednesday’s routes will be pushed to Thursday. Garbage routes will return to normal schedules the following week.
