Young dancers from across the region are heading to Perry this weekend for a major competition.
Participants from multiple studios around Iowa and neighboring states will take part in the Legacy Dance Championships regional competition happening at the Perry Performing Arts Center. The event is open to the public, with performances starting tonight at 5:30 p.m. and running through Sunday. Detailed schedules are available at the door. After the final number on Sunday, the judges will then announce awards and cash prizes. The organization also provides scholarships to outstanding performers.
