The Iowa High School Athletic Association and Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union earlier this week announced a suspension of all spring activities that currently extends through April 12.

There is hope that spring seasons can resume after April 12 and any updates or adjustments to the spring sports schedule will be announced when available by the two governing bodies.

State Qualifying track & field meet sites have been announced. These meets are currently set for Thursday, May 14 in all classes for girls and boys. Greene County is the largest Class 2A program using preliminary classification numbers released last month. The closest 2A State Qualifying sites to Jefferson are Manson & State Center. There are a total of eight sites in 2A.

Paton-Churdan is in Class 1A. The closest 1A locations to Churdan are Madrid, Audubon, and Holstein. There are 10 1A qualifying sites.
