A fundraiser was held this past weekend at the Scranton Community Center for a local 4-H club.

The Greenbrier Basketball Tournament was at the Scranton gym and pitted three Greene County 4-H clubs against each other including Greenbrier, Hardin Happy Hustlers and the Junction Food Producers. The winner of the championship trophy went to the Hardin Happy Hustlers. Greene County ISU Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator Kayla Willms says the kids enjoyed the event, learning about teamwork, encouragement and supporting each other both on and off the court. Willms adds, the fundraiser made $300.

Other volunteers that helped included Ricky Stephenson and Joshua Hedges handling the scoreboard and Mike Holden as the guest referee. The Greenbrier parents and youth managed the concession stand.
