One of the truths about the COVID-19 pandemic in Iowa is that everyone is being affected differently.
An example of that is the current business landscape in the City of Perry, where Chamber of Commerce Director Lynsi Pasutti says the coronavirus restrictions are being felt in a variety of ways. Pasutti says some businesses are struggling to stay afloat as they’ve temporarily closed, others have found different ways to reach customers, and some have seen business drastically increase. “You know, you have to think about the range of businesses that we have here in our community; big and small, and various products and services that they provide. So everyone is impacted very differently, and kind of finding this new normal in their own way. So for good and for bad we’ve got the range, and so it’s a good thing that not everyone is hit the same way, but we definitely have those that are struggling now, and those that are continuing on, and those that are being very busy at the same time.”
Pasutti adds, she’s doing her best to keep in frequent contact with all the member businesses, assessing what their current needs are. However, if anyone needs help with applying for federal loans or grants or navigating Iowa Workforce Development for unemployment, she encourages them to reach out to her office at 515-465-4601.
