
A Stuart man was recently ordered to serve prison time after violating the terms of his probation.
Court documents show that 37-year-old Joseph Lee Reynolds violated his probation for a conviction of possession of a controlled substance third or subsequent offense, a class D felony, and third degree theft, an aggravated misdemeanor. Reynolds’ probation was revoked and he is to serve his original sentence of no more than two years at the Iowa Medical and Classification Center. This sentence shall run concurrently with a sentence for driving while barred, an aggravated misdemeanor. Reynolds shall pay for court costs, the remaining balance of his supervision fee, continue to pay fines imposed in the original sentencing, and other court costs. Reynolds was arrested for probation violation in November after he was previously sentenced on April 5th, 2019.
