
Thursday, April 30th
1:38am: The Jefferson Police Department assisted the Greene County Sheriff’s Office with a driving complaint that led to the arrest of Steven Dzuris of Jefferson at the intersection of East Monroe Street and South Cedar Street in Jefferson. A Jefferson Police Officer and Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to stop Steven in his 2004 Pontiac Grand Am in the 100 block of North Cedar Street for Carless Driving. Steven would not comply with the officer’s commands and continued to drive away erratically. Steven stopped his vehicle near the intersection of South Cedar Street and East Monroe Street. Steven attempted to flee in his vehicle again and a Deputy deployed his taser. Steven continued to resist the officers while being placed under arrest. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office is handling the criminal charges.
5:05am: While performing business checks, an officer located a lost business key at 205 West McKinley Street.
3:48pm: As a result of a traffic stop at the intersection of 220th and Gallup Road, James Wells of Albion was issued a citation for Excessive Speed.
4:50pm: As a result of a traffic stop at the intersection of Linwood and Westood Drive, Kyann Brown of Jefferson was issued a citation for Excessive Speed. 2019 Hours Roxanne Steburg reported a loose dog in the 300 block of East Lincoln Way.
