A bank in Jefferson has stepped up and made a financial donation to the local food pantry.

Heartland Bank Business Development Officer Scott Weber says they made a $2,500 donation to the Greene County Action Resource Center (ARC). Weber notes the bank company and its board of directors wanted to help out and they thought the local food pantry would be an area that is in tremendous need during the spread of COVID-19. 

ARC Manager Shirley Haupert says additional donations are accepted at this time by mailing them to 1006 North Vine Street.
