The Perry City Council will convene Monday evening in regular session.
The meeting will begin with a pair of public hearings. The first is on Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Housing Rehabilitation Exterior Home Improvement grant applications to the Iowa Economic Development Authority. The second relates to the application for the CDBG Response and Recovery grants for COVID-19 relief. Following the hearings, the Council will consider approval of the applications. Also in old business, they will consider three change requests from Ball Team Construction for the McCreary Community Building project, as well as a payment to the Baker Group for the facility’s equipment replacements.
In new business, the Council will consider three resolutions related to the exterior rehabilitation grants, including an administrative plan, a contract for technical services, and providing administrative services. That will be followed by consideration of policy updates to satisfy federal regulations related to the grant applications. Finally, the Council will consider resolutions related to the Response and Recovery grants, including authorizing Mayor John Andorf to sign and accept the grants, and assigning the Perry Area Food Pantry and Perry Lutheran Homes as subrecipients.
