Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation is continuing to announce ways they are helping to provide some financial relief through a recent donation.

The non-gaming license holder for Wild Rose Casino in Jefferson recently announced a special promotion with local businesses. GGCGC is partnering with Jefferson Matters: Main Street, Jefferson Area Chamber of Commerce and Greene County Development Corporation with a gift certificate giveaway. GGCGC Board member Peg Raney says they purchased close to $9,000 in gift cards and gift certificates from 29 Greene County businesses. She explains why Grow Greene County wanted to help small businesses.

“How could we support our small businesses? Because those are families in our communities,  they are just a mainstay, and we want them to continue to be successful and feel supported at this time.”

Raney says the criteria they used to determine which businesses were selected included those that were mandated to be closed or have limited access due to COVID-19, have ten or less employees and had a storefront. The promotion is through KGRA 98.9FM. All month long, listen for the “cue to call” and be the lucky winning caller to receive four $25 gift cards or certificates to Greene County businesses. Raney explains why they wanted to partner with the radio station.

“The idea of publicity and hearing their name on the radio, and maybe drawing in from outlying areas that didn’t realize Jefferson or Greene County had these businesses. Also Raccoon Valley Radio is a small business in our community too. They just need to listen to KG 98.9(FM).”

Standard rules apply for those wanting to participate in the giveaway, including being 18 years and older and winning only once in the last 30 days.
