The Perry softball team received good news this week when the Dallas County Foundation awarded 32 grants totaling over 343,000 dollars.  Perry softball was one of the grant recipients and the Jayettes were awarded 4,000 dollars for infield improvement.  A portion of the funds will also be applied to the new Perry high school wrestling room.  Perry was looking to improve its infield and now have the resources to get the job done.  The Jayettes are hopeful that the green light will be given to their season in the next couple of weeks as they await word from the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.  Optimism is high after Governor Kim Reynolds relaxed several mandates concerning the Co-Vid 19 pandemic.
