memorial-day

Most public buildings around Dallas County were already going to be closed to the public today due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but there are some closures and changes residents should note for Memorial Day.

In Perry, City staff are not in the office to answer questions today at City Hall, the Water Works, the public library, or the McCreary Community Building, though all online services are still available. Additionally, garbage routes are altered this week due to the holiday, with today’s and tomorrow’s pickups each pushed back a day, and no yard waste pickup on Wednesday. Similarly in Adel, all City offices and the public library are closed and not staffed due to Memorial Day, but online services are active. There is no change to garbage routes.

All Dallas County offices are also closed for the holiday. Finally, all post offices and banking institutions around the County are also closed. Everything will reopen for service tomorrow, though the specified buildings will still be closed to the public until further notice.
